Sinae Lee joined MOAPIA in 2015 as a program coordinator. Expecting PhD in 2016 in the field of sociolinguistics, she specializes in analyzing language data both from quantitative and qualitative perspectives. At MOAPIA, she is in charge of facilitating the Language Access Program by providing data-based reports on AAPI community, which will further serve as reference and consultative points for participating District agencies. In an effort to better serve the District's AAPI community, she is planning to launch a project in which she identifies under-represented and thereby marginalized AAPI residents in DC, examining the issues related to Limited English Proficiency and its consequences. She also serves as the subject matter expert on education and mental health. Sinae holds a Master's degree in Linguistics from Korea University ('09) as well as from Georgetown University ('11).
