(Washington, DC) - The Mayor’s Office on Asian and Pacific Islander Affairs (OAPIA) is pleased to announce the unveiling of a newly designed OAPIA website. The new website utilizes Drupal, a website management platform, which offers enhanced website features such as improved navigation, a contemporary visual layout, and user support for individuals with visual and auditory disabilities.
The new OAPIA website can be navigated through the use of tabs at the top of every webpage, which are accompanied by subcategory tabs that allow quick access to specific resources and agency services. In addition, the new website offers language support, allowing OAPIA to better engage and connect with the online limited English proficient (LEP) Asian American and Pacific Islander community.
The redesign of the OAPIA website is part of a long term effort by the District of Columbia government to create a web portal for District residents, businesses, and online visitors that is more user accessible and user friendly. The new OAPIA website joins more than 70 existing District agency websites on the new Drupal open source web platform. Visitors can view the newly redesigned OAPIA website by visiting www.apia.dc.gov.
